The Akurate Music Server offers 8 channels of stereo analogue full bandwidth CD quality playback, making it the world’s highest performance music server.
Offering concurrent access by up to 8 users, the Akurate Music Server is ideal for use in multi-room distributed audio systems, such as Linn’s Knekt system.
Users can have simultaneous independent control and listen to different music in each room, or can choose to have the same music synchronised throughout the home.
Music is stored remotely on a separate standard networked hard drive array, providing almost unlimited storage and making it a flexible and upgradeable solution which can expand with the user’s music collection.
The storage device can be configured using RAID
technology for added protection of the user’s audio
collection and playlist data, making it an exceptionally
secure and reliable solution.
This compact unit comes in a 1U, rack-mountable
chassis, which means that it can be installed easily
in a standard rack housed remotely, away from the
living space.
The Akurate Music Server can be controlled within
a multi-room audio distribution system using a Linn
Knekt RCU or a third party control device via RS232
or Ethernet.
